1. WASH
To look after your cashmere in the best possible way we recommend washing your cashmere by hand. We always recommend to wash your cashmere inside out in cold water and to use a special detergent, e.g. detergent for wool.Regular detergent will be to harsh for cashmere. Soak your cashmere in cold water and and a small amount of soap, then soak in clean water. Repeat the last step until the soap is out of the garment. Do not wash or rinse under running water. After washing the garment, gently press out the water whitout twisting and wringing. We do not recommend washing your cashmere too often. Since cashmere is self-cleaning, you can hang it up airing it outside to remove odors instead or place the garment in the bathroom while you take a shower, as the steam has a cleansing effect.
2. DRY
To dry your cashmere place it on a towel. Gently press out the rest of the water so the towel can absorb some of the water. Then role the towel to press out excess water. Roll out the towel and keep the garment laying flat to dry with a towel underneath. Allow it to air-dry, but make sure to keep it away from the sunlight. Do not tumble dry, unless you want your cashmere to shrink. Also avoid hanging your cashmere to dry on a hanger, as it will stretch.
3. STORAGE
When storing your cashmere do not hang the garment as it might get out of shape. Store it in your closet folded and try to keep it dust free and away from sunlight. A lavender bag with your cashmere will help it keep extra fresh and help keep the moths away.
4. PEELING
Pilling is naturally and usually happens in areas with high frictions. To remove the pilling do it by hand or use our cashmere comb that gently removes the pilling from your sweater. You can buy the special comb on our webshop, which is made to remove the lost fibers so that you do not damage the sweater. Never use a scissor or razor as you’ll damage the fibres and make it worse. Peel it regular to make it look fresh.

cedar tree balls
These cedar balls refresh your clothes and closet with a soothing and earthy scent. Placing the cedar balls in one’s wardrobe is an old housewife trick, and we all know that those kind of advice often works. The scent of these cedar tree balls keeps pests away such as clothes moths, which is really important when storing your cashmere pieces. The cedar tree is a tree species that is abundant in the world, and the harvest that takes place is therefore mainly from naturally growing forests. Cedar wood is considered to be good from an environmental point of view. All types of wood absorb moisture to a certain extent, but cedar is one of the best types of wood for this. They will give off a nice and soothing scent in your cupboard, at the same time that it keeps unwanted insects away and absorbs moisture.
